EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a powerful, evidence-based stress reduction tool that calms a nervous system which is stuck in a state of fight, flight, or freeze. When you are in these states, your negative thoughts, emotions and behaviours become almost automatic and the person you want to be, remains out of reach.

  • During an EFT Tapping session, we combine exposure, cognitive and somatic therapies to calm your nervous system and change the way you think, feel and behave.

    During the session I will guide you to gently tap on acupressure points while we focus on your present thoughts and emotions.

    These acupressure points communicate with the brain and (due to its natural neuroplasticity) help it to shift deep emotional learnings that keep your low self esteem and imposter syndrome in place. 

    EFT Tapping is rapid, but it is gentle.  It is a tool you will learn and take with you so that you can use it yourself outside of your sessions.

  • In our work together, we will explore how low self esteem and imposter syndrome show up in your life today. We will set a measurable goal to work towards together, and set up measurements to track your progress along the way.  

    The process of EFT involves continual and adaptive monitoring of how you feel in the present moment. We will be using your own words throughout the session to craft the statements you will repeat while tapping gently on acupressure points located on the face and upper torso.     If we come across a memory that is linked to your present challenge (and it is safe to do so) we may also use a tool called Matrix Reimprinting. Matrix Reimprinting, a process born out of EFT that allows us to step into specific memories to resource you and rewire the emotions and beliefs associated with them.   • I work gently, through a trauma informed lens, using the numerous techniques suited to keeping the body, mind and nervous system safe and regulated. Which means I know how to slow things down and keep you calm.

    When used by a trauma-informed, certified practitioner like myself, EFT is gentle and safe, but studies have also shown it can work faster than talk therapy.

    I have a background as a Social Worker and was trained by a Master EFT Trainer, Jules Vandermaat, who specialises in teaching how to use EFT to work safely with trauma.
